Another big weekend awaits us in Spain with the big 3 in ruthless mode all season. Real Madrid have stuttered off late and have thrown away the initiative, Barcelona have stormed back after that thrilling win at the Bernabeu and the silent assassin Atletico Madrid have surprised everyone and are still leading the race. However there will be plenty of twists and turns with the top 2 will face each other on the last day.

ATLETICO MADRID VS VILLAREAL

Atletico Madrid are the team of the season for me. However this is the period when they will be tested to the hilt, with this fixture a potential tricky one ahead of the big game vs Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday. With Diego Costa injured, their squad will be tested but the Los Colcherenos are made up of stern stuff, and even though Villareal are a good side and are having a good season I think Diego Simeone’s men will claim a close win.

BARCELONA VS REAL BETIS

Barcelona are the favourites to win the La Liga now. They don’t have many hard games now until the last game, and their experience will give them the advantage over Atletico Madrid. Lionel Messi is in top notch form, and the likes of Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Sergio Busquets have plenty of experience, but with Gerard Pique injured, Victor Valdes out and lots of question marks over the defense, it will need a big effort from the midfield and forwards. However I can only see a home win here, even though the Champions League game will be on their minds.

REAL SOCIEDAD VS REAL MADRID

This is the toughest game for Real Madrid in the season now, and after losing vs Barcelona and Sevilla they cant drop any points at all. However with Cristiano Ronaldo out of this game, a tough game gets more tougher. Sociedad have beaten Barcelona this season, and are well placed for a comfortable finish in Europa League slot and having some of the most exciting players in the league they can cause Real Madrid plenty of problems. But this is a game the Los Blancos must win, and I think they will win a close game.
